Peter Hollick JP LLB MEd Barrister (non- practicing)

After a short period at the Bar, Peter turned to lecturing in law on courses in Further and Higher Education. His career in education culminated as Head of Business and Academic Studies at Central Bedfordshire College.

In 1993 he was elected to Bedfordshire County Council. Towards the end of of lo 16 years he held the Portfolio for Education and then for Social Services.

The County Council was abolished in 2009. The next 10 years saw him on the newly created Central Bedfordshire Council. He was Chairman 2010-2012. He also later chaired the Social Care, Health and Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Co-opted and then elected onto the Dunstable Town Council he was Town Mayor, 2016-17 and 2020-21. He has chaired the Social Services and the Finance and General Purposes Committees. He will take over the chairmanship of the Grounds and Environmental Committee in May 2025.

A past 'O' Level examiner in Law and Moderator for the Business and Technician Education 

Council, he has also edited a number of legal books (Criminal, Tax and International Law), wrote 'Life In The Sun' (Sun Printers, Watford), contributed to 'They Came To The Crossroads' (about those who have come to Dunstable and left their mark), completed a book on 40 Years of Dunstable Town Council and a booklet on 50 years of the Dunstable International Twinning Association. He writes about local family and independent businesses in the Luton News and Dunstable Gazette.

He has been associated with BOLD for some 20 years and has the honour of being currently the Chairman of Trustees at a time of change with great plans for the future.
